Daniel Corral

Currently, I am a graduate student in the Cognitive Psychology program at Colorado University, Boulder. In general, I am interested in empirically testing philosophical concepts pertaining to the mind, with an emphasis on relational and categorical learning, knowledge representation, and analogical transfer, as well as the manner in which these are related to problem solving and decision-making.
Current Work
My work focuses on understanding the ways in which people acquire relational structure and the manner in which such acquisition leads to changes in conceptual representations. Though acquiring relational structure is often crucial to the transfer of knowledge and to the development of meaningful representations in long-term memory, the processes and mechanisms behind relational learning remain unclear.
